14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
1 John 5:14
We should have the confidence to ask the Lord anything according to his will. Sometimes we get confuse and we think that God diesn’t hear our prayer because he doesn’t answer. Actuallu he does hear our prayer and he always gives us an answer. It may not always be what we want to hear. He may answer us by telling us yes, or that it’s not the right time for us, or simply He may just say no. Not everything we have is a blessing because if we ask God for something and we get it but it’s seperating from God, that is defenitly not a blessing from him. A blessing from God will bring us closer to God not pull us apart. We also need to learn how to ask because his scriputures says that we need to be specific about what are need is. The prayer will bring us closer to God.

Amen! This verse is assuring us that when we pray, He does in fact hear us. We can no longer have any doubt about this. Knowing now, that God does hear us, we have to be attentive to His answer. As you said, It may not always be the answer that we want, because He knows what we need better than our own selves, but He is listening!

Praise God for he knows and understands our hearts, in him we have all that we need. Prayer brings us closer to God and helps us to understand his will for our lives.

Without prayer, how can we communicate with God? How can we learn how His whisper sounds like? How can we know His voice without it? Through prayer, we connect with Him. We learn from Him and we can freely express all that is in our hearts and He listens attentively. Pray not until God hears you, but until you hear God! Great reflection!
