Ephesians 4:29- Let no corruption talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

The word “corrupt” means bad or rotten, or even one that tends to corrupt others, and can also be applied to trees that produce no good fruit; nothing good comes of them. When we speak, we should not speak anything that can corrupt us, or even those around us. We should always speak words of truth, righteousness, and encouragement. If our maker, who we were made to be in likeness of, is pure, then we should also be pure.
