“Trust in The Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” PROVERBS 3:5-6
Supernatural guidance is another benefit that you can expect as you “lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. It is so important to listen to the Lord. Sometimes God will tell you to do something that isn’t what you would have chosen if you had figured things out on your own. God does this because he’s smarter than us. He knows the end from the beginning. (Isaiah 46:10) He knows far more than you and can give you divine insight into any situation. If you lean on your own understanding, you’ll be in trouble. You don’t know enough to avoid failure. But, when you “in all your ways know, recognize and acknowledge him,” God rises up within you with his wisdom and gives you the direction to victory. So starting today, ACKNOWLEDGE GOD! Tell him, “I’m going to listen to you today, Heavenly Father. I expect to hear from you. I don’t know the answer to what faces me today, but I belong to you, and YOU know the answer. I’m leaning on you Heavenly Father. I acknowledge you in all my ways TODAY in Jesus Name!” As you acknowledge God in all your ways, God WILL do what he has promised to do: “He will direct your path.”
Wonderful thought Sis Liz! In meditating in how profound the concept of trusting in the Lord is, I came across a Greek word for “Trust”, being “PISTOS,” which means “trusting, believing.” What’s so amazing to me is that the Greek word for “Faith,” “PISTIS,” has the same definition, as well as the Hebrew words for faith (AMAN, BATAH, HASAH, GALAL, MIBTAH, MAHSEH, YAHAL, EMUNAH, and RECHATS), which are defined also as “Trust in, believe in, rely upon”. With this in mind, as we read, “Trust in the Lord…” it’s not just a suggestion, but an invitation to live a life of total dependency in God.” Complete faith (trust), that “…all things will work for together for good…(Rom 8:28)” as He is the one who “…will direct my path.” We must keep our head up looking towards the price (Jesus), never looking down, worrying where we will step, because “…we walk (live) by faith (trust), not by sight…(2 Cor 5:7).” Thank you Sis Liz for this amazing reflection which provokes a deeper seeking of God, to be able to love, lean on, rely on, trust and acknowledge Him in everything we do! God Bless you!

Great mediation sister Liz. We need to trust in the Lord and know that he is guiding us in the direction where he wants us to be.

AWESOME! If THERE IS ANYTHING WE’VE BEEN LEARNING LATELY, IT’S TOTAL DEPENDENCY ON GOD! IT MAY BE HARD TO UNDERSTAND AT TIMES BECAUSE OUR HUMAN MINDS CANNOT COMPREHEND HIS, BUT THIS IS WHEN WE KNOW HE IS TRULY IN CONTROL; WHEN WE STOP TRYING TO MAKE SENSE OF THINGS AND RELY COMPLETELY ON HIM! GOD IS DO GOOD AND KNOWS WHAT WE NEED BETTER THAN OUR OWN SELVES! THANK YOU FOR THIS WORD SIS LIZ!
By the way, sorry for the all caps, didn’t notice it until now..
