Thankful for Blessings

Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.             Philippians 4:5-7

Prayer which may include all sorts of ways: mental, vocal, private, public, ordinary, or extraordinary. Prayer may design petition, or asking for good things that are wanted; and “supplication” however is a plead for help of evils that are feared. These two are often used together for the same thing, for prayer in general: which should always to be together with thanksgiving. Thankful for mercies we received. In 1Timothy 2:1 it says “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people”… We should make known to God the petitions of or hearts without fear but first be thankful for His mercy, love, and for His Blessing.

God Above all

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’ and a man’s enemies will be those of his own household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.  And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.                                                    Matthew 10:34-39

In John 18:37 Jesus tell Pilate “…for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth.” See Jesus came to the world to exactly that! This section in my bible is called “Christ Brings Division” Jesus says for I have to set a man against his father. But wait a minute! In the 10 commandments it says that I should honor my father, is scripture wrong. No both are true but it’s not really as simple as: ok I have God now I don’t have to obey my earthly father. But we must Love God much than our beloved ones and choose Him above even our own children. That doesn’t mean that we don’t love our family, spouses, parents, brothers and sisters. But we must be willing to put God above all and follow Him even if it means to turn against Him. Hey that’s persecution! I guess in this situation that’s what it means to take up your cross and follow. At some point we must me willing to give up our own understanding our own power our own strength and loose our life. So that we can find our life and allow God to mold us, give us strength, even to have our loved one do the same. And choose God Above all things and everybody. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son…” I want to Love the Son so much that ill be willing to give up the world an Follow.

Fruit of a Kind Heart

Create in me a pure heart, O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me.  Psalm 51:10

To pray is to change. This is great grace, How good of God to provide a path whereby our lives can be taken over by love and joy and peace and patience and kindness and goodness and faithfulness and gentleness and self-control. With kindness, the difficult becomes easy, the obscure clear; life assume a charm and its miseries are softened If we knew the power of kindness, we should transform this world into a paradise..

tu sobre toda carne;

Fear Not!

Image“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;” – John 10:10

One of my favorite verses because it not only alerts you and makes you aware of the purpose of the enemy, but it also gives an implicit message that is highly encouraging for whenever we experience a spiritual attack. This verse supports James 1:2 where it tells us to count it all joy whenever we face trials. Why? It’s not letting us know that the enemy is going to come with the purpose to steal, kill and destroy us, so that we can be afraid of him, but rather, it’s implicitly telling us that the fact that we are doing things right! The more we please God and walk in his righteous path, the more the enemy doesn’t like it and is threatened. The more we obey God, we discover the perfect will He has for us, the more we are prospered and become empowered through His spirit and through His revelation. This is when the enemy comes with the purpose of destroying it all as the verse says. But this is where I rejoice the most. The enemy cannot steal from me if I don’t have anything he wants. He cannot kill me if I have no life, and he cannot destroy if there is nothing built! What does this mean? It means we are blessed! When an attack comes to your life, get a hold of the word of God and remember this. You are doing exactly what you need to be doing. It’s only confirming that you have the blessings, joy, peace, love and salvation of God which the enemy wants to steal from you. You have Jesus in you (He is the way, the truth and the life). He has given you life once your sins were forgiven. This is what the enemy is trying to kill. And lastly, it means you have been “…built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone” Ephesians 2:20. This is what the enemy wants to destroy! Rejoice, for we don’t have to live in fear any longer, because “…if God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31.

Me Encantan Las Pruebas!

Pushing Against the Odds

Luke 8 : 43-44

43 A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding, and she could find no cure. 44 Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped.

The crowd was waiting to see Jesus to welcome him. But within the crowd this woman who had been bleeding for 12 years, touched Jesus’ robe. She did not wait for Jesus to touch her or ask Jesus to heal her. She took the initiative, she made the effort, she reached out to him. While the crowd was pressed up against him, as the word states, people were very close to him and right next to him. In the midst of all this, Jesus felt her touch. She needed to touch him. She had faith that just with touching Jesus’ robe she would be healed. This woman did not just want to be with Jesus, she needed to have an experience with the Lord. Her faith healed her, but most importantly, her faith pushed her to go against the odds and get close enough to Jesus to touch him, to experience him and to get her miracle!

Jesus Came for the Sinners

Luke 5 :32

I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.”

Then Jesus says “32 I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.” Jesus came to help the sinner. He came to the people who needed him. He did not come for the people who didn’t have issues or problems. Jesus came to heal and lead us to salvation. This does not only refer to the person who does not know God, or the one who has never heard of Him. This speaks to the person who is having struggles in their life. People in and out of church. We are all human and we all sin by nature. By falling into sin, you should not run from God but towards God. He came to help us in our struggles. He wants us to repent and follow Him. If anything, this should draw us, who know God, closer to Him as his spirit convicts us when we sin. We know we are weak without him, how much more, those who don’t know Him? We should not push people away from God once they fall into sin. We should encourage them to get to know God and ask Him to help them. Because that’s exactly what Jesus came for and who He came for.
